I think my child is part bat.

Whenever the captain is out of town Wm. seems to find his way into my bed. This is why I think he must be able to see in the dark. Our bedrooms are on the opposite sides of the house and still he manages to make it from his booby trapped room to my room unscathed. How does he do it? To top the night off he sleeps sideways and talks all night. You would think I would just get up and move him back to his own bed but instead I spend the night suffering. Needless to say I have had three not so good nights of sleep and can't wait for the captain to get home so Wm. will not bat his way to my bedroom. He is very cute when he is sleeping!

Sometimes mom does know best

Last night the boys were supposed to be in bed and they were being a little noisy but I was giving them a little leeway because the time change is hard on all of us. When the screaming started I knew it was worse than expected. Wm. came out holding his face, he is a little dramatic when it comes to injury. ET was crying and yelling "i am sorry, i am so sorry, i am so sorry, i'm sorry" it starts to loose its effectiveness. Anyway, Wm. moves his hand and BLOOD. He has already hurt his lip at the park and required some blood clean up but this was worse than I expected. My friend's husband does search and rescue, which means he is a trained EMT, and since it was getting late I made a rash decision to call them and look at it to make sure he wouldn't need stitches. Of course once the blood cleared it look much better and I am hopeful there isn't any shards of Walmart trailer plastic left in the wound. Poor kid. Luckily some genius came up with glow in the dark Sponge Bob Square Pants band-aids and life is better with Sponge Bob? I mean if you are five.

These picture also beg the question to wax or to shave? You know the eyebrows. I am never sure the best method for keeping the mono brow from growing back faster and thicker. I know it bad that he is only five but kids are already telling him he has a mono brow, besides I have been trimming those bad boys for years and i just need to know what is best shave or wax? What a cute boy, what I wouldn't do for a set of eyelashes like those.

I have talked about wm. but not put on any picture of him. Yesterday we went to the doctor, stomach problems, and when we got home and were walking in the house I realized he is 5! How did that happen right before my eyes and it suddenly just hit. He is so full of energy and loves to hang out with his three little friends from church. Grandpa helped me name them the "fearsome four some". Wm. has been requesting songs and polms (poems) at bed time and he is even staying in bed, no is we could limit the mommy requests we would have something. We had to register him for kindergarten and he seems to not really care as long as his friends will still be around. The funniest thing is he is the best speaker of his friends, meaning all the speech work paid off! This is a picture of Wm. in his Sunday "costume". I love to see his row in primary, four little boys in blue suits with their "future missionary tags". Don't you just want to eat him up. It just make me smile to see his little smiling mug.
