Happy Birthday!

My husband is 34, yikes, today. I can't believe it. I have known him since he was 16 and I was 14. Never could I have imagined us this many years later. I know I have already told many of you but for those of you who haven't heard, the good captain helped save, we hope, a man's life. He was doing the walk around of the plane and he got to the back of the plane and the fuel guy was laying flat on his back looking to the sky. Scott tried to find pulse, nothing, and tried again, nothing and the first officer from the other plane came over. Scott ran and got the difibulator and they got it hooked up a doctor that was at the airport was at the scene by now. They didn't actually shock the guy but they helped keep him alive until the parmedics came. The fuel guy had to be life flighted to a bigger hospital and we hope he is ok. What a good husband. I can't even imagine. So I am putting a picture of him in his uniform mostly because I always get told how 'hot' he is in uniform. Did you know when a pilot gets home from a four day trip they smell like fuel? But despite the fuel smell he is very cute in his uniform even if he doesn't have on his clip on tie. Happy birthday babe.

The Buby!

I feel inclined to write a little something today but I am limited by my picture selection because The Captain took the 'good' computer to work. So after a little browsing I thought I would do a little look back at EL a couple years ago. The boys will also get a chance if the computer will load a picture. These are when my baby was bald. At the time I kept telling myself "she doesn't look so bad" but I now see the reality of how terrible my baby girl looked. This was after we shaved her head just make it look a little better. Yes this is better. Now she is a virtual hair farmer. The moral of my story is when your daughter is throwing up everyday for two weeks and pulling out her hair (that was the clincher) it might not be the stomach flu.

They grow so fast. El will be three in a couple of weeks!

#2

I have talked about wm. but not put on any picture of him. Yesterday we went to the doctor, stomach problems, and when we got home and were walking in the house I realized he is 5! How did that happen right before my eyes and it suddenly just hit. He is so full of energy and loves to hang out with his three little friends from church. Grandpa helped me name them the "fearsome four some". Wm. has been requesting songs and polms (poems) at bed time and he is even staying in bed, no is we could limit the mommy requests we would have something. We had to register him for kindergarten and he seems to not really care as long as his friends will still be around. The funniest thing is he is the best speaker of his friends, meaning all the speech work paid off! This is a picture of Wm. in his Sunday "costume". I love to see his row in primary, four little boys in blue suits with their "future missionary tags". Don't you just want to eat him up. It just make me smile to see his little smiling mug.

Friday Fav!

This is one of my newest favorite things. The Captain mocks me for using it as chapstick but the beauty of it is no one will take off with my can of bag balm. There are really to many uses to name and even though the smell is not fab it is well worth using. Wm. has the chapiest lips ever and I try to salve him down as often as I can. I also use this on my knuckles and on scrapes. See there are just so many great reasons to invest in a tub of this stuff.

Lipstick!

One of my most treasured parts of my somewhat routine days is the chance for a nice shower. With three kids this is not always as easily done. Even if I can get in the shower and the door isn't swinging I am often wondering in my mind why it is so quiet. This is one example of why things get quite. El decided to make herself a tiger and draw a large circle of lipstick on the carpet. I love the girly things but this one? I subdued my initial reaction and grabbed the camera to take a few pictures before giving her her second bath of the day. Lipstick is harder than I imagined to get out of skin, the conditioner seemed to work. Thank you Grandma!

Ethan is 8!

Ethan turned eight December 7. He was baptized by his dad on January 5, 2008. The Captain and I have been married 11 years now but Ethan is my best measure of time. We watch him grow and become a little man and he makes me feel that time has passed. We are so proud of him and all his little isms. He is a walking car encyclopedia. It amazes me how much information his mind can hold. He has now passed me in piano, not hard to do, and is excellent. I wish I had his same knack for memorizing.

Camera!

I temporarily misplaced by camera. Yikes! Luckily it was waiting for me in the Primary room on Sunday. I am anxious to post Ethan's baptism pictures and various other photos that are being held captive on the camera.
